Reports of Scanian lakes
In Skåne there are over 500 lakes larger than 0.01 km2 ( Swedish Water Archives ANSWERS , 2012) . Compared to the rest of Sweden , the Scanian lakes and getting quite small . The lakes often have a rich plant and animal life , and thus a high nature .
Depending on where they are in the landscape and land use around them is different lakes within Skåne part from each other. In coniferous forests in northern Skåne Find brown lakes with fairly low nutrient levels and which usually has wetlands in their catchment areas (eg Liasjön ) . These lakes are naturally acidic and browns of the humic material transported to them from the forest and wetlands. In Skåne plains to Find eutrophic lakes with very high production of both plant and animal life (eg Ellestad Sea). The nutrients derived here largely from agriculture in lake basins. These lakes are often troubled in summer due to high algkoncentrationer . One can even find a few lakes with lower nutrient levels and with relatively clear water (eg Sickle water ) . Most lakes in southern Sweden are shallow and have formed during the last ice age .

Health and Safety issues are addressed including the appeals, court cases, inspection and testing of hazardous activities and environmental targets. In our assessments, we look including noise, vibration, air shock waves, radiation, odor, legionella risk and radon.
The County Administrative Board's mission includes coordinating, monitoring and evaluating local regulatory activities in the sphere of health, and to give local advice regarding these activities. The work also involves interacting with local authorities and other bodies or authorities regarding various projects and programs as well as monitoring and measuring the state of the air, water and soil. Municipal health decisions can be appealed to the County Board.

We work for the county's valuable plants, animals and habitats to be preserved. This includes establishing and managing nature reserves, to inventory species and natural habitats and to test permits for activities that may affect the natural environment. The nature reserves and national parks are available for outdoor recreation and nature experiences.

A basic provision of the law is that animals should be treated well and protected against disease and unnecessary suffering. Another is that they should be able to have as natural a life as possible.
Agriculture has overall responsibility for the maintenance and development of animal welfare in Sweden. The mandate includes coordinating and guiding the county administrative boards welfare work.
